Data Deletion Instructions

Effective date: June 20, 2026

We respect your right to control your data. This page explains exactly how to delete your Kolabl account or remove specific data we hold about you, including data we received from Instagram or other connected platforms.

Option 1 — Delete your entire Kolabl account (recommended)

Closing your account permanently removes all data we hold about you, including your profile, analytics history, Instagram tokens, and cached Instagram content.

  1. Sign in at app.kolabl.com
  2. Click your avatar (top-right) → Settings
  3. Open the Account tab
  4. Scroll to Delete account
  5. Type DELETE to confirm and click Delete my account

Your data is removed from active systems immediately. Encrypted backup snapshots are purged on a 30-day rolling cycle.

Option 2 — Disconnect Instagram only

If you want to keep your Kolabl account but stop us from accessing or storing Instagram data:

  1. Sign in at app.kolabl.com
  2. Click your avatar → Settings → Integrations
  3. Click Disconnect Instagram

We delete your Instagram access token and clear all cached Instagram data (profile, recent media, insights, demographics) within 24 hours.

You can also revoke access from Instagram's side:

  1. Open Instagram → Settings and Privacy
  2. Apps and Websites → Active
  3. Find “Kolabl” and tap Remove

Option 3 — Email request

  • Email privacy@kolabl.com
  • Subject: Data Deletion Request
  • Include the email address linked to your Kolabl account
  • Optionally specify what to delete (full account, Instagram data only, or specific fields)

We confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days as required by applicable data-protection law.

What gets deleted

  • Your account, profile, settings, and preferences
  • All Instagram-derived data: access tokens, cached profile, recent media, insights, audience demographics, and comment analytics
  • Analytics history and dashboard cache tied to your account
  • Your public Media Kit page, which is taken offline immediately

What may be retained

For legal, fraud-prevention, and regulatory reasons we may retain a minimal set of records (e.g., anti-fraud signals, or aggregated, fully de-identified peer-benchmark statistics where you cannot be re-identified). These are not used for marketing or to contact you.

For Meta App reviewers

This page is the Data Deletion endpoint configured for the Kolabl Instagram App.

  • Data Deletion Callback URL (configured in Meta App Dashboard): https://app.kolabl.com/api/v1/legal/data-deletion-callback
  • Callback behaviour: Validates signed_request HMAC-SHA256 using App Secret; locates the Kolabl account linked to the Instagram user ID; initiates a 30-day soft-delete; returns {"url": "...", "confirmation_code": "..."} per Meta spec. Always returns HTTP 200 for valid signatures.
